SICA-HF Studies Investigating Co-morbidities Aggravating Heart Failure
SICA-HF is a Collaborative Project together with partners from the Russian Federation. The project started in October 2009 and is funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme.
It consists of 12 partners across Europe and Russia and is coordinated by the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin - Germany (Professor Stefan D. Anker, scientific coordinator is Dr. Stephan von Haehling) on the European side and by V.A.Almazov Federal Center for Heart, Blood & Endocrinology (Professor Eugeniy Shlyakhto, scientific coordinator Professor Andrey Zaritskey) on the Russian side.

Registration of SICA-HF at ClinicalTrials.gov
In June 2013, SICA-HF has been registered at ClinicalTrials.gov. ClinicalTrials.gov is a registry of clinical trials and observational studies. It is run by the United States National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health, and is the largest clinical trials and observational studies database, currently holding registrations from over 130,000 studies from more than 170 countries in the world. Under the unique identifier NCT01872299, visitors can read the hypothesis of SICA-HF, definitions of the primary and secondary outcomes, eligibility criteria, key study dates (registration date, anticipated or actual start date, anticipated or actual date of last follow-up, planned or actual date of closure to data entry, and the date of the trial data being considered complete), target number of subjects, funding source, and contact information for the principal investigators.
